I want to recommend a fantastic resource for you to keep you thinking and bubbling with new ideas. The blog is called Trendwatching. I have been reading it for years, and consistently got a lot out of it. It has a sister site called Springwise that does more regular posts. You could say that Trendwatching is stock and Springwise is flow, but I think both are fantastic all the time.
Making Up Words Is Good – Thoughts On Trendwatching’s Unique Vocab
One of the unique elements of Trendwatching is their vocabulary creation. There are so many trends rolling down the pipeline its nice that someone is trying to categorize it with some new fun vocabulary.
I need to come up with a name for this blog and I want to make sure it is something that jives with the community I am trying to serve. If you are reading this, you are in that community, so lend me some creative juice… What should I name this blog?
Here are the topics and categories that I intend to blog about:
Main Categories
Social Media
Technology
Leadership
Sub-Categories
Africa
Service
Business
Entrepreneurship
How To
Innovation
Community
Creativity
With those topics in mind… I want this blog to be an engaging, educational and fun resource for you. Something that will serve you well.
Post your ideas in the comments. Once we have some rolling I will create a poll for the top choices.
Some of you who are subscribed to my CHURCHSMO RSS Feed will notice things have changed a bit. I’ve decided to stop blogging at CHURCHSMO. I want to broaden my audience. I still intend to serve ministries through this blog, but I won’t always be putting it in the context of church and ministry.
I am really grateful for your patronage at CHURCHSMO and hope to see you engaging in the new space!
It’t really difficult for me to just throw stuff online without pouring over it and feeling like I have to make it perfect. Unfortunately, I think that has really stunted my growth. Rather than focusing on making good content, I have gotten stuck on making it look right, which is fine, but the story I want to tell is far more important. I am laughing at how I have been telling people this for years, but I haven’t taken my own advice here.
